How do you buy Electroneum on KuCoin exchange?
KuCoin is a very user-friendly exchange on which to buy Electroneum, and the steps are quite easy to follow.
In this post I’ll show you how to:
- Create an account on KuCoin
- Setup Two-Factor Authentication
- Deposit funds
- Buy Electroneum
Create an Account
Go to KuCoin’s signup page. Scroll to the bottom of the Terms of Use, tick the box next to Accept terms and continue, and click Next.
Enter your email and a new password you’d like to use. Confirm the password one more time and hit Next.
You’ll now be prompted to confirm your email. Open your email account and click on the confirmation link that was sent to you.
This will most likely log you into KuCoin automatically. If not, simply click on Login in the top right-hand corner and log in with the details you’ve just provided.
Setup Two-Factor Authentication
In order to deposit funds into KuCoin, you’ll need to setup two-factor authentication using the Google Authenticator app or a similar one.
Firstly, download Google Authenticator to your mobile device.
Then, on KuCoin, click on Account at the top and then click on Google 2-Step.
Click Next to show that you’ve installed the app.
You’ll now be presented with a secret key that you can use to recover your account if your phone is lost or stolen. Write this key down and keep it safe! If you lose your phone, there is no way to get access to your account again.
For convenience, you can click on Download Key File to save it to your computer and then click Next.
Now scan the QR code presented using the Google Authenticator app and enter the 6 digit code given to you by the app.
Deposit Funds
In order to buy Electroneum, you need to deposit some other cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. These can be purchased from sites like Coinbase, CEX.io, LocalBitcoins, or some other local exchange in your country.
To deposit funds into your account, do the following:
Click on Assets in the top navigation bar.
In the Overview tab, look for the search bar in the top right and type in BTC (if you want to deposit another currency, please type the appropriate code here).
This will narrow the search and display Bitcoin in the list below. Click on Deposit on the right-hand side.
Click Confirm to confirm that you are depositing Bitcoin and not some other cryptocurrency.
Send your Bitcoins to the address given (or scan the QR code with your Bitcoin wallet app).
Note! Don’t send your coins to the address in this image, else it will be added to Electroneum101’s account! Send it to the address given in your own KuCoin account.
You’ll be able to watch the deposit history at the bottom of the page.
The funds will automatically be added to your Bitcoin balance after 3 block confirmations.
Buy Electroneum
Once you’ve deposited funds, you can now buy Electroneum.
Click on Markets at the top of the page and then click on an ETN market in the list (most likely ETN/BTC). You can also search for ETN in the Search coin box if it is hard to find.
This will take you to the trading screen for ETN/BTC. In the bottom right you will see the Buy/Sell panel.
To Buy Electroneum, we’re going to complete the Buy section.
In the price box, enter the price you’d like to buy at. Clicking on the blue best price link at the right of the box will enter the best price currently available.
In the amount box, enter the amount of ETN you’d like to buy for that price. Clicking on the blue max link to the right of the box will fill in the maximum ETN you can buy with your balance.
Then click on the green Buy button.
You’ll see a message saying “Buy order has been submitted” and your transaction will be processed.
You can view your ETN balance by looking at the top right of the Sell ETN box.
You are now the proud owner of new Electroneum coins!
Conclusion
KuCoin is a great exchange with a very user-friendly interface. It is one of the easiest exchange, currently, to buy Electroneum on.
Have any more question about this process? Let me know in the comments to so we can all learn from one another.
Hi. How to move from Coinbase to Kucoin? It is completely missing here.
In the Coinbase mobile app, click on Accounts, then on BTC Wallet. Then click the little paper plane symbol at the top right to start the Send process. Type in the amount of BTC you would like to send (remember to leave enough for a transaction fee) and hit Continue. Click the little QR code icon next to the To field which will open up the camera. Use it to scan your personal Bitcoin deposit address that you’ll find in KuCoin (make sure it’s the deposit address is for Bitcoin and not some other coin). Follow the remaining prompts by entering your PIN. Your transfer should be available in KuCoin in roughly 30 minutes.
Hi, how can I move my ETN to my ETN wallet?
Electroneum withdrawals from KuCoin is not available for now. When it becomes available again, go to Assets and then click on the Withdraw option. Choose ETN as the currency and enter your wallet address.
Cannot withdraw ETN from Kucoin.
Kucoin has halted withdrawals temporarily while working on problems with the wallet. Should be back up soon. If you’re desperate to get it out, sell your ETN for Bitcoin, send the Bitcoin over to Cryptopia, use the Bitcoin to buy ETN again on Cryptopia, and then withdraw the ETN.
Ok, withdrawals are now permitted. Where is the best place to send ETN from KuCoin? Also, instructions.
The safest place to keep it is in a paper wallet. Second safest is in your online ETN wallet. I’m working to expand this article to show the steps for withdrawals.
Very very helpful. Really, I would highly recommend everyone try this.
Awesome post. A million thanks. But I can’t transfer my Electroneum (ETN) coins from KuCoin to ETN online wallet. KuCoin says “withdraw is not allowed”. Can you please help?
They’ve disabled it for the first couple of days to prevent people from taking advantage of the large swings in price that usually occur when a coin is first listed, and also to build some volume. Withdrawals should become available soon – not sure when exactly.
Thank you for your info. I bought ETN on Kucoin now. My question is, how can I send ETN from Kucoin account to my electroneum wallet?
